The infinite stupidity loop...

Man it's good to be writing again.  

I have been out of the loop for the past three weeks due to some unexpected job duties... I have been way to busy.  I have let the corporate world get in the way of what is important. 

But as I have been "out of the loop" I have only been able to watch things unfold at a distance and not be able to give any commentary about it.  Life is back to normal for the moment so expect more articles soon. 

I sat through a very interesting sermon Sunday.. It had to do with Pauls sermon at Mars Hill in Acts 17.

As the Pastor spoke I was greatly shocked at the similarities to what is going on in today's culture as to what was going on in Pauls time. 

The passage starts off by the apostle Paul walking through Athens and seeing all of the idols that People were worshiping. 

Paul was greatly upset by what he was seeing.  People worshiped everything; the sky, the sea, love, sex, crops, marriage, commerce, and government.

Now... not knowing where you, the reader is at in your faith I will post this link to the scriptures.  

It's up to you to read it... but I want to draw this parallel to what we are seeing in todays "America".

Take a good hard look at our country now.... what is it that we idolize?  Is it our house, our car, clothes, video games, the internet, sex, or technology?

Just like in Pauls time... our goals are massively out of line from what they should be.  

We spend our days worshiping idols: Our idols are; running from work, to sports, to dinner, to homework or work we didn't finish at work, and then on to maybe six hours of sleep.  

What kind of life is that?  Where is the family time?  Where is the time you sit and listen to your son / daughter talk about their day or what happened at school?


We are repeating history...

With all this "ideology" you have in your life... are you better off? 

I'll bet your answer is probably this... 

"No... I am not better off... my savings is gone... the economy is in the toilet, my house isn't what it used to be worth... I never see my kids any more and I am just so incredibly busy... I don't have time for any thing!"

I have asked this question to people time and time again and you know what... the answer is always the same... they never know how to fix it... because they don't want to sacrifice anything.  They wouldn't know what to do if they had extra time in the day.  

They have to much stuff in their day... in their week... in their month.  They are distracted to what is truly important.  

They are too busy to see "The Event" coming. 

So are our Politicians... we saw it this past week. 

Yes... I watched the debates this past week... and yes... I do think that Mitt did well, he was the stronger debater of the two. 

Do I think that the debates are a farce and that the race has already been decided by the Electoral College? 

Yes.

But for posterity's sake, lets talk about them for a moment. 

If you can remember the issues they talked about... were any of them really relevant to what is happening in the US?  

Obama continued to attempt to press Mitt on his 5 trillion dollar tax cut... Mitt went after Obama on his record of spending and wars...

Nothing really of importance was said.  

Neither candidate addressed the issue of the mounting debt and the trillions of dollars we owe other countries.   

They never even discussed the true entitlements that are costing us billions.  Neither addressed the 47% of Americans that are daily stealing money from future generations. 

They had bigger goals in mind.  They wanted votes.  The debates are nothing more than pandering to undecided voters.  

Both Mitt and Obama hoped that someone who was undecided would choose to change their fake vote to them so the election looks legit.  

Their goals were out of the alignment with what should have been. 

Neither candidate is right for the job in my opinion.  Neither has the countries best interest in mind.

Neither is willing to make the best choices for the economy and the country. 

Neither will be able to lead us when The Event is here.

We should not vote for either.   

We should send a message that we no longer believe in the two party system.   

Our message should be that we want a fair election based on popular vote... not decided by a group of high paid people who want to steer the country toward disaster. 

I ran across a quote from Lee Iacocca the other day.  I have it posted to my facebook page but I know that it sums up what we have going into's America; 

Now ... I may not agree with the way that corporations are run and how they stomp out small family businesses.... but it is the content I want you absorb; 

‘Am I the only guy in this country who’s fed up with what’s happening?

Where the hell is our outrage with this so called president? We should be screaming bloody murder! We’ve got a gang of tax cheating clueless leftists trying to steer our ship of state right over a cliff, we’ve got corporate gangsters. 

They are stealing us blind, and we can’t even run a ridiculous cash-for-clunkers program without losing $26 billion of the taxpayers’ money, much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, ‘trust me the economy is getting better…’

Better? You’ve got to be kidding. This is America , not the damned,‘Titanic’. I’ll give you a sound bite:

You might think I’m getting senile, that I’ve gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore…

I’ll go a step further. You can’t call yourself a patriot if you’re not outraged. This is a fight I’m ready and willing to have. The

Leaders are made, not born. Leadership is forged in times of crisis.  It’s easy to sit there with thumb up your butt and talk theory. Or send someone else’s kids off to war when you’ve never seen a battlefield yourself. It’s another thing to lead when your world comes tumbling down.

On September 11, 2001, we needed a strong leader more than any other time in our history. We needed a steady hand to guide us out of the ashes. A hell of a mess, so here’s where we stand.

We’re immersed in a bloody war now with no plan for winning and no plan for leaving. But our soldiers are dying daily.

We’re running the biggest deficit in the history of the world, and it’s getting worse every day!

We’ve lost the manufacturing edge to Asia , while our once-great companies are getting slaughtered by health care costs.

Gas prices are going to skyrocket again, and nobody in power has a Lucid plan to open drilling to solve the problem. This country has the largest oil reserves in the WORLD, and we cannot drill for it because the politicians have been bought by the flea-hugging environmentalists.

Our schools are in a complete disaster because of the teachers union.

Our borders are like sieves and they want to give all illegals amnesty and free healthcare.

The middle class is being squeezed to death every day.

These are times that cry out for leadership.

But when you look around, you’ve got to ask: ‘Where have all the leaders gone?’ Where are the curious, creative communicators? Where are the people of character, courage, conviction, omnipotence, and common sense? I may be a sucker for alliteration, but I think you get the point.

Name me a leader who has a better idea for homeland security than making us take off our shoes in airports and throw away our shampoo?

We’ve spent billions of dollars building a huge new bureaucracy, and all 

we know how to do is react to things that have already happened.

Everyone’s hunkering down, fingers crossed, hoping the government will make it better for them. 

Now, that’s just crazy… Deal with life. 

Name me an industry leader who is thinking creatively about how we can restore our competitive edge in manufacturing. Who would have believed that there could ever be a time when ‘The Big Three’ referred to Japanese car companies? How did this happen, and more important, look what Obama did about it! Name me a government leader who can articulate a plan for paying down the debit, or solving the energy crisis, or managing the health care problem. The silence is deafening. But these are the crises that are eating away at our country and milking the middle class dry.

I have news for the Chicago gangsters in Congress. We didn’t elect you to turn this country into a losing European Socialist state. What is everybody so afraid of? That some bonehead on NBC or CNN news will call them a name?

Give me a break. Why don’t you guys show some spine for a change?

I’m trying to light a fire. I’m speaking out because I have hope – I believe in America . In my lifetime, I’ve had the privilege of living through some ofAmerica ‘s greatest moments. I’ve also experienced some of our worst crises: The ‘Great Depression,’ ‘World War II,’ the ‘Korean War,’ the ‘Kennedy Assassination,’ the ‘Vietnam War,’ the 1970′s oil crisis, and the struggles of recent years since 9/11.

With "The Event" bearing down on us... we have too many people who are not getting upset over this fact!  Our leaders don't get it.  

We are the only ones who can make a difference when "The Event" comes.

America is repeating history, the spending, the idols... the mis-matched goals... the question is .... will we finally learn from it?

I am constantly saying to my kids, "Think before you act...", "Don't be over zealous...", "Stay with the group", " Think about those around you!  How will your decisions affect others?"  

But you know what... it has absolutely no effect on them...!

They think they know better, so they touch the stove, or jump off that high thing, or they swing to fast, and not wear a helmet and then suffer the consequences because of their childhood foolishness!

It still baffles me how parents can say these things over and over again and yet our children still don't think of the consequences will be for their actions.

But you know what... adults aren't any better... in fact many of them who ignored their parents, are positions of power over our money and our laws... they hear the experts screaming;

"Don't do QE3! It will drive inflation, don't print more money to "inject" into the markets... it won't work!" and yet .... they still ignore them. 

The FED made a really... really bad choice ... and though they may feel like they might have made the right choice to spurn the economy forward, this was the worst move they could have made. 

QE3 is upon us in fact... its unlimited and it will ruin us. 

They are literally living by the old adage of, "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...."

They are the definition of "insanity".

Here is an analogy for you on QE3;

Its like they are on a life raft (the economy) and it starts leaking, so they bail the water out, and put it in a bucket (QE1 and QE2) inside of the sinking boat instead of pouring it out... now ... the water has filled the life raft again and they are pouring it inside another bucket (QE3).   The boat is still sinking!

Here is what today's news  this means to you and I.  

Right now the Not-so-Federal Reserve is going to start buying mortgage backed securities at record levels to the tune of about 40 billion per month.

What the Not-so-Federal Reserve (NSFR henceforth) is trying to free up liquidity for the banks... they (the NSFR) think that if they can free up the money that the big banks will in turn loan out money and put it into the economy...

This will not work... in fact it is going to make things worse... they are trying to fix debt with printing money.

The reason that the past QE1 and QE2 did not work was because the banks are not and were not  finding qualified borrowers to lend money too

They are not finding people who have decent paying jobs, and disposable capitol to throw away on things like bigger homes, cars and material goods.

People don't have jobs right now! We have 86 million people out of work! 

Your main consumers of goods and services don't have the money to waste!  They are tying just to survive! Pay the bills... put food on the table.... heck they are just tying to keep their house!!!!!

All QE3 will do is free up Banks to loan money to people who probably should be saving their money not buying things they can't afford. 

Not only will QE3 also devalue our currency, it cause inflation in the long term... look at what has happened to Gas prices this year alone! Pay attention NSFR! Pay attention Mr. President! Pay attention Senators and Congress people!

This has happened in other nations before, Zimbabwe.  When your production structure fails and your unemployment climbs like ours... inflation is going to take place... they have to print more money into peoples hands to spend ... so inflation will take place as more money floods the economy. 

When you start printing that much money the consumer price index will rise!  

You, our "elected" leaders need to the root problem of the nation.  American Greed!

Our inability to be happy with what we have.  We are spending too much money!  We think of no one but our selves!

I want you to watch this video again;

Now... I realize that it says that all this happens when QE4 hits the market place.  But why wouldn't it happen now?  Gold is now up at over 1700 an ounce!

Do you  think that the rest of the world is ignoring what we are doing over here?  

How long do you think it will take for them to see the way we are  handling our check book that someday they will figure out that they will never be paid?

Yes... stocks are up, but investors have been flooding into metals .... they have been for some time!

Remember earlier last month when I told you that two of the worlds most wealthy men were dumping their stocks and getting into Gold?

They are seeing this trend... and an unlimited Non-Federal Reserve who will print as much money it needs to "shore up" an economy isn't good for anyone!

Wake up America!  Wake up and realize that as you and I go off to work, school, the gym or wherever we go in our day the "leaders" in our government are deciding our futures?  We have to stop the borrowing and stop letting our Government decide to spend our fiat money on things that will not help us!

Better yet... we have to stop them from using a currency that is worthless...!  They need to count the cost of their bad decisions!

They saw the consequences from the last two rounds of QE... why don't they speak up! Ive callled my congress persons and my state senator... I've told them they are out of line and are spending too much money on wasteful entitlements and programs.
I've told them that they will be out of a job if they continue to spend.  I've told them the fiscal cliff is coming... and they always respond the same way...,                                                                     

"Thank you Mr. Pounder for calling my office... I really appreciate your feed back.  It's good you stay well informed and we are proud to have citizens like you in our state!  I'll gladly assign someone to look into this and we'll be glad to represent you!"

Dear Senators, Congress Persons and you Mr. President,

It's time for you to start thinking through the consequences for all of our families...! It's time you felt what it was like to live paycheck to paycheck.  Its time you worry about where you next meal will come from or whether your paycheck will cover the balance of the medical bills you owe!

You are what happens when our leaders stop thinking with their minds and with their hearts and start thinking with their pocket book!

You have got to stop the madness... you have to count the costs of your actions and how it will negatively affect our people and their families. You have got to think with your hearts... stop pandering to the left or right and those who line your pockets and reach across the aisle!

I'm tell you folks... if you haven't started planning for your families long term due to "The Event" coming soon... you have got to get on the ball!

The Fed and the ECB are out of bullets to kill this monster of debt and to restart the economy!

They are not planning ahead... you have to... please start planning!  Get your food squared away... get your family squared away with God ...and start to think for yourself and do your research!

I'm really not messing around here...

I have had several readers email me over the past month or so and ask me if I write these posts because I want to "rant" about the world, or because I am just angry with my life.

I tell you it is neither... I am writing to try to save families!

Time is running short... and too many people are more worried about what their going to wear this fall or what Snooki's baby is like!

Who cares!!!???

"The Event" is rushing head long at us like a fat American after a Big Mac...

I'm telling you, you have to start paying attention!

Do you realize what will happen when the American dollar is no longer recognized as the trade currency of the planet?  

Do you realize how deeply this will impact America and our way of life? 

I'm going to relay these following talking points too you ... they are from the Economic Collapse blog... he said them so well... I couldn't have said them any better; 

Here is what we can expect if America looses it position as the default currency trade dollar; 

- Oil will cost a lot more.

- Everything will cost a lot more.

- There will be a lot less foreign demand for U.S. government debt.

- Interest rates on U.S. government debt will rise.

- Interest rates on just about everything in the U.S. economy will rise.

Our American dollar is so fragile... and so many people just don't realize that if the world every really does decide to shun us and our currency... it will be just another factor that would will push us into "The Event". 

Our two main competitors China and Russia have decided they are going to work on pushing us out of the global trade market. 

 But you know what?  We deserve it!  

We as Americans have decided that the world should do business our way... or no way at all.

In my recent interview on Radio Free Redoubt John Jacob and I talked about why America is in so much trouble and how the Euro's woes will roll over to America.

This collapse is going to happen...! 

Other countries are working to secure their own finances .... they seeing it coming.  Yet we continue to ignore it!   Why can't we be pro-active? 

Why don't we see that other countries are starting to make alliances and getting off the dollar!

 Because we are too proud!

I have detailed this out before our American hubris and how bad it is.  We as Americans just can't believe that the world would ever want to hurt us!  We think of our self's as the worlds darlings... and police.

Remember what just happened last night!  Our embassy was stormed in Libya and our Ambassador killed!  His body was drug through the street and desecrated... and what is our response?

"This is an act of senseless violence... This is an attack that should shock the conscience of people of all faiths around the world."

Really??? 

You think this was act of senseless act of violence?

Here is a hard truth for you Mr. President, Madam Secretary.... it wasn't senseless... it was a crime of opportunity..! It was retaliation for us butting our nose into other countries problems and political processes!  We cannot police the world!

Our enemies, who we have made from our meddling .... saw an opportunity for them to hurt us... and hurt a man who was working for ideals that he thought were right.

But now our President is back on the war path... He vows that justice will be done! 

He needs to back off... now.  We have way to many fish to fry here at home.  We have an economy in the toilet... record debt, and we have millions of America on welfare.  

We are headed into the possibly the most polarizing election we will ever see in our lifetime.

Ladies and Gentlemen .... you need to keep your eye's open.  Things are about the change in this world.  

You see ... the quote from Ron Paul today is absolute truth.  It is when we loose the dollar that Americans will loose their freedoms rapidly....

If you think that you won't be affected by this... your severely mentally stunted.  Think about this.  I have talked in the past about when the jobs go away ... and the money will run out... people will gather... and cause trouble.

The money is going to run out...soon... I assure you... the Grace Commission Report of 1984 already proved that,

"100 percent of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the Federal debt and by Federal Government contributions to transfer payments. In other words, all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services which taxpayers expect from their Government."

Read this too: written by Matt Bracken... it is a chilling look at what will happen when the money runs out. Please ... please read it! Share it with family and friends... encourage them to think of their own communities when they read it!

If after reading this you still think that you and your family will be safe as is when "The Event" comes... why are you still kidding yourself.

I have told you before... the Government won't be there for you... they are gearing up for full control when "The Event" comes!

I love my country. I don't want to see people suffer.  But because of the choices that our leadership is making... well is shows zero concern for the people of this nation.

I know that I often throw a lot of very dismal things at you.  I have to... we have to wake up. You have to wake up!  I know what is coming and it is horrible.

However, there is hope though.

Where does your faith lay?  Is it in man?  Or is it the almighty?

I want you to think about your family for a moment... where is their faith?

Can you center your family around Christs principals and begin to "be prudent and see the danger"?  Now is the time for you and your family to come back to Christ!  Now is the time you and your family should begin to realize the danger ahead!

You still have some time... The Event is coming... please ready your family!

Sorry about the delays in posting... I took some vacation time... and now I am back, refreshed and ready to continue to wake up hearts and minds, now ... onto the post!

Yes...

I just quoted the current sitting President.

No ... I don't approve of any of the decisions that he has made for our nation... but I find his quote highly ironic as he has added significant amounts of debt under his Presidency. I belive that when he said this quote... he didn't realize that he was predicting his own future.

How much longer can we ignore the giant problem we are facing? Right now the national debt sits at more than 16 trillion dollars, and continues to grow rapidly every second. 

"The Event" is coming.

Do you truly realize how staggering that is?

Do you realize what this is about to do to our nation? Should we continue to ignore the problem?

People are inherently evil because sin is in the world, we can try to fight it with Gods strength, but our evil natures will prevail and we will mess up. Thank goodness for grace huh?

However, to ignore the fact that we are headed towards "The Event" at a breakneack pace and to ignore the signs that we as a society are getting ready to take a major step backwards is just complete foolishness.

You can't ignore a problem.  It wont go away. There is a reason that the word ignore is part of the word ignorance. 

You cannot live in "happy land" where nothing ever goes wrong, or people always get along and that nothing terrible will ever happen, that is just stupid and it is like ignoring cancer. 

Your body knows its there, you're sick, and you never really get better.  Until that cancer is cut out and your body undergoes some serious medical proceedures, you will not get better! Ignore it and it will continue to fester until it kills you!

Our world, better yet our nation is very sick and we need to go through some serious finanical, spiritual, and social chemotherapy to correct the problems.  

You see there are examples of when things get truly bad, people will break down and do things that they never though possible to take care of their families. 
 
I want you to take a look at this article and video from yesterday.  This comes to us from SHTFplan.com.  Its shocking, three tons of food was taken from a grocery store. Three tons... that is a pretty big amount.

Now...yes it was "activists" that took the food and gave it to those who needed it, but it shows that things are getting so bad financially for them in Spain that now they have taken to lawlessness and stealing from another one of their fellow countrymen to provide for their families.

People will not preserve order when really bad things happen. But the problem isn't over yet, it is just getting started. 

Why do you keep ignoring "The Event" is coming?

Yesterday there was also some additional not-so-good news.  Mario Draghni, mouth piece of the ECB, announced that the ECB is going to start offering an "unlimited" bond buying plan that they think will help the troubled Euro currency based nations to solve their problems.

This is bad and here's why. When the ECB decides to start selling bonds, they offer them on a 1 to 3 year basis with a guarantee to pay a certain amount when the bond reaches maturity. 

But here is the problem with this new program.

The money does not exsist before the "bond" is magicly created to be sold. So when they just "create" the bond out of thin air for another country to "buy" they are effectivly printing money to loan the country who requests help.

This will drive inflation and it is wrong.  Its so simple, why can't they see that this is bad?

If Europe thought that things were bad right now, it is going to get a lot worse. 

Just wait until either the bonds have to be paid out ... or they have to print so much money that the currency gets devalued to an unbeliveable point and then a loaf of bread will costs 60 Euros.  How will people survive?

This will crush them and it will move on to crush us.

This is just a stupid financial move, even the knuckleheads who actively use the ECB know this. Read this.

The ECB is making mother of all rookie of mistakes, they are using the thought process of, "What do you mean I am out of money... I still have checks?"

They have to stop printing money! Printing money drives the value of it down and then inflates is a tremendous amount.

But they are not alone in this thinking, our own Not-so-Federal Reserve is getting ready to do the same thing with their absolutly not-so-brilliant plan of "QE3".

This is going to create a huge mess and in all likelyhood be a huge contributing factor to "The Event".

Now.. you're probably wondering how I am going to tie all this back to the title of todays post.

We the people of the world, more specific the USA are ignoring the major problem.  We spend too much! We have been greedy!  We are living way beyond our means and are about to suffer a major consequence of our actions, and now are constantly ignoring the problem of the massing crushing debt.

Sure the ECB and the FED are trying to fix the problem.  They can't, its too massive. 

We the nations of the world just keep borrowing, and borrowing to cover our lazyness and greed. 

In the last week I have had multiple requests from readers to offer my interpetation of what I have seen at the RNC and the DNC over the past two weeks.

Here is my opinion;

Both candidates are ignorant of what the main problem is that our nation is facing; the massive debt load.  We never heard them in ether speech discuss what they will actually do about the debt!

What we heard was this;

Romney wants to continue the status quo and not tax the rich, he wants to repeal Obamacare (which his "Romneycare" bill was the frame work for) and work to rebuild "America's greatness".

Obama also wants to return "America's greatness" but wants us more reliant on the government for our bread. Obama also promised multiple things that obviously he has no way to pay for.

Neither candidate can possilby fix the problem. Neither has the intestinal fortitude to make the hard decisions that will maybe will take the edge off of what is coming. Remeber what I said earlier this year?

"They cannot print any more money because it will cause inflation, severely devalue the dollar and cause the economy to collapse and cause mass civil unrest.  People would then begin to return to bartering again or even go back to Gold and Silver coin, leading to a possible Governmental collapse, and civil war.

They cannot force the Government to cut all social entitlement programs because then people would riot, starve and would lead to mass civil unrest and a collapse of the Government structure as well as possible civil war.

They cannot cut military funding and pull all the troops home because there are not any jobs for them to come home to, So former military families would starve, riot which would then lead to mass civil unrest. Not only that, it would open the door for our enemies to come in and take over the US with our defenses down.

They cannot "infuse" more money through a "quantitative" style easing because that would devalue the debt we owe to other countries and show that we will just print more money and they will never be able to be paid back.  If other countries stop buying the debt, the money fountain turns off and once again we are faced with riots, civil unrest or civil war."

We have ignored the problems for too long... and now we cannot fix it... there is no way way out of it. 

Get your hearts and families aligned with God and prepare for what is coming!  Don't ignore what you know to be true!

Wow… The American People are unhappy…Just look below.

I've been saying for a while that there is "something" in the air and the American People are getting to a point at which they will not take any more of the "crap" that coming there way. 

Check this latest Gallup poll.  As you can see from the numbers, it is the lowest rating ever!

What we are seeing is now is the fact that people are beginning to speak up about how disconnected the Congress, the Senate and even the current President has become from the American republic.

When will those in leadership realize that if this continues to trend like this, the quote above from Thomas Jefferson could become a real reality???

As I have told you before... The DHS is preparing for it. As should you!

Today were going to continue our preparedness series by talking about probably one of the more controversial topics of our "Beans, Bullets and Band-aid" series....

Today we talk about guns...!  

I will lay the following disclaimer.  If you're not open minded to the possibility of owning a gun.  

Stop reading now.  

I'm not going to get in a debate with you about wether guns are good or bad and why you should or should not own them.  This blog is to help people prepare for what is coming to America.  Not to create a debate with tree hugging, PETA joining, agenda 21, nato loving hippies. 

I will not to debate with you the ethical issues of why guns are good or bad.  

Ok... now on to the rest of the post. 

Guns are probably one of the most contested points of the preparedness society and among all the research I have done so far.

There are really two thoughts about guns and preparedness.  The first one is;

"You can never have too many guns."

Take a look at this picture.  Do you know someone like this?  Are you this person?

Everybody knows someone who they would consider a "gun nut".

He is that guy that you are all secretly afraid of because he speaks his mind, has a gun in every room of his house and carries two on him at all times... even when he sleeps, but you know that when "The Event" happens you will be the first on on his door step asking for help.

These are the people that the ATF, the CIA, FBI and every other three letter acronym based organization that is paid for with fiat money watch constantly.

Are they right to own this many guns?  What makes their philosophy correct? If not, what makes it wrong?

I don't want to condemn or judge them.  Remember, the constitution gives them the right to bear arms and protect themselves and loved ones, it says nothing about how many they are allowed to have or when they are or are not allowed to carry them.

Our Government has tried on multiple occasions to limit what we can buy in the name of protecting us from ourselves.  That is not their job.  The Governments job is to protect liberty and freedom, and not to tell me I can't own a fully automatic rifle with a 50 round clip.

That is my business not theirs, what I do with my money and my guns is my business.

Here is the second school of thought;

"I'll just keep a .22 around and that will be enough for us."

These people are the minimalist who hopes they never have to kill anything and truly believe that things will never go wrong.

They have quite possibly never fired a gun, let alone got it out and become familiar with how it works and loads.

But is their philosophy correct?  If so, what makes is wrong? You have to decide for yourself.

Now I have laid out the two opposing views lets break it down on what it should probably look like.

Guns have two functions.  To protect and to provide.

They are designed to be used to hunt, and kill other humans. Do I believe in owning guns?

Absolutely, I carry one everyday and I fully believe in the 2nd Amendment right to carry, own and use a gun.

Remember what I have said before... "From my cold dead hand!" Charlton Heston said it, and I stand by it!

"Jay...what is the right amount of guns to own... and what type?" 

I don't have the exact answer for that. But I will offer my own opinions on it, and you can use your own best judgement and your own free "Liberty" to decide.

Well... to start, you have to divide owning a gun into two different categories, Home / Personal Defense and Hunting.

Lets start with the most controversial topic; Home / Personal Defense.

Notice that I bolded the word Defense.  At no time will I endorse using your fire arm to ever purposefully hurt someone for a purpose. Gun violence must never, never be a first resort to solve problems.  

Words should always be a first resort unless someone is working to harm you or the ones you love. 

Moving on...

I personally carry a 9mm every day.

I like mine, it is a solid gun and it conceals well.

Some folks would carry a .45 or even a small .22 for their personal defense.  The 9mm shoots straight and will stop just about anybody who is going to attempt to hurt you and will protect those you love.

Get a concealed weapons permit if your state allows it.


Heck, open carry if you feel brave enough.  Just a warning though, it will make people extremely nervous, but again it is your constitutional right.

If you want to get a permit, you can do your research here.

But when it comes to owning a pistol you have to ask yourself, "Why would I carry a gun? Would I use it? If yes, can I accept the consequences of potentially taking a life?"

Those are some pretty tough questions.

I would say that my opinion on those questions are pretty straight forward.

"Why would I carry a gun?"  - To protect myself and those I love against those who don't live within the rule of law. Think about Aurora, Colorado not a gun in the place. If there had been, would more people be alive today? Probably!

"Would I use it?" - Absolutely.  See above.

"Can I accept the consequences of taking a life?" - Yes... It will be tough.  They are one of God's children too, but if I am protecting myself and not working to murder someone I can accept that.

So now that those questions are answered.  I have another one for you?  Would you carry a bigger gun, say an AR-15 or AK-47?

Why or why not?

I want you to reference back to my post, "Without the Rule of Law".  Remember why that person broke my window?  Let's go a bit deeper with this idea hypothetically;

What do you think would happen if tomorrow if the grocery stores were empty, the fuel was gone and you were the only person left in your neighborhood who had fuel and food?  People would do more than just break your window!


Have you even on a summer evening smelled cooking meat on a BBQ?  Did your stomach rumble?

Now imagine your kids haven't eaten in a week and you knew that someone had food, what would you do?

Would you kill to feed them?  Would you maime someone to provide a meal?  Guess what, so would they.

Would you be a target for roaming gangs of people looking to raid?  Yes... you would!  But they might be a bit more deterred if they saw you with above mentioned guns your hand.

Yes... they are intimidating and can hold 30 rounds compared to your 8 - 10 round hand gun.

That is why a "Home Defense" style rifle is a must.

You're not going to use it to go to war or commit some type of crime.  You are going to use if for defense from those who would not even blink.  People will resort to anything to get their food.

Think of the last time you went without food.

What did you feel like?  Were you tired, angry sometimes and "zoned out" possibly?

Now imagine thousands of people who are like that... only they haven't eaten in weeks.   There you go... you now have hords of zombies.

Remember my post containing the story of Leningrad?  Remember the nasty "meat jelly" that I talked about...?  How about the small children disappearing when the neighbors were hungary, or the body parts that disappeared from the hospital morgues?  Forgotten about that?  Still to old of an example for you?

Here is more recent historial video ... how about Haiti?  They experienced their own version of "The Event" and look what people resorted to do to get food.  They are still suffering today.

That is why a you need to make sure that you can defend yourself from the masses.

Geez... you think so loud... I can hear you now... "Jay... your just paranoid!"

No... I'm not... I'm practical.

I don't live in fear.  I live in practicality. I don't want my family to have to fight for their food. I don't want my kids to have to starve and have distended bellies.  I don't want to look in their little eyes an tell them I didn't prepare ahead! I had a more important thing than them!

I am awake and I live with the knowledge that "The Event" is real, and that it is coming soon to America. I love my family, and my country.  But I don't trust those would not even blink to kill my family to get what they need. If you think I'm wrong, read this.

Just cowboy / cowgirl up and get a "home defense" rifle and 1000 rounds of ammo.  Simple enough.

Let's move on to hunting rifles.  Anything bigger than a .270 will do the trick.  Get to the range and shoot it too.  Get 1000 rounds for it.

A shotgun is also a must as well.  It's mighty hard to hit a duck with a single shot from a rifle and still have some of the Duck / Goose / Pheasant / Chucker left to eat when the bullet passes through.   Get one and 500 rounds for it.

Shotguns are also a great home defense weapon too.  I can tell you from experience that nothing scare the pants out of people like the sound of a racking shotgun or the charging of an assault rifle.

People know what sound follows that of a loading gun, and they would probably prefer not to be on the receiving end of that sound.

Your family is truly the most important thing to you on this earth.  When nothing else is left, all you have is them.  Don't forget that.  Even when you don't agree with them, you still love them.  Protect them at all costs.  It is your right!

Don't be a victim, don't be stupid either.  Use guns safely and they will do exactly what they were designed for;

To protect and provide.
